ABOUT JAMES
James Broxton is a highly sought after, teacher and performer with over 15 years experience.
Based in the United Kingdom, James has taught students all over the world. James’ love of teaching has led him to work with an array of musicians and performers internationally, including Amir Wilson (His Dark Materials - BBC One/ HBO, Letter for the King - Netflix, The Secret Garden - Miramax Pictures), who became one of the longest running Simba's on London's West End. He has also taught and worked with singers and performers who have gained places in some of the top training schools in the United Kingdom, including: Arts Ed, Guildford School of Acting, Bird, Urdang, LIPA, Bristol Old Vic and Trinity and Laban.
Over the course of his career, James has won several awards for his contribution to singing.

James has over fifteen years experience in preparing students for their singing, acting & music exams, most notably LCM, Trinity & ABSRM - boasting a 100% pass rate with students over all grades, ranging from entry level through to diploma exams, with 98% of students receiving a distinction.
In his last round of examinations, every student received a distinction and were awarded some of the highest marks in the United Kingdom.
James has been complimented on his teaching standards by multiple professionals within the musical theatre industry.
James' training
First Class BA Hons Music, CertHE, ViP, LCM, ABRSM
James has a First Class BA Hons in Music, a CertHE in Theatre and Drama studies and has taken his Level 1 & 2 Estill Vocal training, Music Theory with the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music and multiple exams with London College of Music and Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. James has worked with teachers of several disciplines including; Estill Voice, Complete Vocal Technique (CVT), Breathing Coordination, SLS and Alexander Technique.
James is an active member of the British Voice Association (BVA), Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA) and has just joined Vocology in Practice (VIP). James is recognised as an acclaimed coach for singers and performers all over the U.K.

Director, producer, talent scout...
From 2007-2011, James sang professionally around Europe and Australasia in addition to being the frontman of a band. In 2011 James became the co-owner and director of the multi award-winning musical theatre company Get Your Wigle On. Throughout his work with GYWO he has worked with over 5000 people producing, directing and musically coaching sell out shows for various productions. His work has also seen him lead workshops and sessions that have resulted in music videos and vocal recordings. In 2017 James launched an adult choir which became known as Choir in the Shire in 2021.
In James' leisure time he can often be found composing library music (music for TV and film) or working alongside the film co. Painted Life productions.
James holds a full DBS check, a professional chaperone license and regularly attends first aid and child protection training. James has also recently gained a diploma in life coaching.
James' charity work
James is wildly passionate about the environment and has just been invited to study a Masters in Environmental Science.
James is known for his work organising and contributing to international and local charitable events through Get Your Wigle On and is widely recognised for his work within the local community. The following charities have benefited from James' work at Get Your Wigle On, most notably Village Water, Severn Hospice, NAT, Shropshire Mind and Age UK.
